You would think we had 2 lambs in our studio, but we didn't.... we took 3 images to make 1 gorgoeus portrait. Little man wasn't sitting up very well, so the portriats of him and his big sister weren't working out. I decided to create one for her because she really wanted a group portrait. Mom was so thrilled with what we did, and I was just tad bit proud of myself as well :) It was the first time I had ever taken a baby that wasn't in the picture and put him there.. Marc perfected it once I started it on..it was amazing to see the final print. It was printed on 20x16 cavas, and absolutely gorgeous!

Lenny and Luke
Oh how sweet this is!! Luke's mom called me all excited about the lamb, but wanted her little man to still look like a baby, so this is what we came up with.... we used a custom made chenille diaper cover from Sew Cute Creations http://sewcutecreations.net/ and one his baby blankets..simple, but adorabl! She was so very happy with her pictures. We did some with the bunnies when Lenny got tired :)

Lenny Lamb portraits
We are having so much fun with our Lenny Lamb sessions. The response to our spring sesssions has been overwhelming, but in a very good way. Our parents are loving how gentle and adorable he is. We even let the kids feed him. He's still a baby, so he likes to eat alot :) He see's his bottle and he goes running for it. The little ones have a good time feeding him. We send our parents home with a FREE image of thier child feeding Lenny so they can always remember what they got to do when they came to visit him. It's not only the kids that love it, but the parents do, too! One of our grandparents that came to help with the grand children while we did pictures snuggled Lenny for a very long time. Lenny loves to snuggle! Some of our other little friends put Lenny down for a nap by snuggling him under a blanket for a little while. He was very tired, so he needed to rest. I am sure they will be talking about this for a very long time:)
I love this picture.. it's such a sweet moment.

Counting Sheep
I ran into my neighbor today whom I hadn't seen in forever. You think we would see each other all the time, but our schedules are so different.
So she tells me that the day we bought Lucy home she had just driven up and gotten out of her car and heard this 'baa'ing'. Well, she figured she would go inside and she wouldn't hear it anymore because it was a toy. She still hears it, so she goes outside and realizes it's coming from our yard!! She peaks over the fence like any good neighbor would do to investigate and is eye to eye with our lamb. She is so shocked she calls her husbands and asks him if knows what their crazy neighbors have in their back yard..
So he replies he doesn't know, and she tells him it's a lamb. She was concerned that the lamb would keep her up all night. His quick witted response was that she could always 'count sheep'
and oh yes, he DID JUST SAY THAT!
I thought it was hilarious.

Why a lamb
A friend of mine asked me the other day why we chose to do Easter pictures with a baby lamb this year. My response was that it was something God told us to do. I have wanted to do portrait sessions with a baby lamb for a long time, but we had to wait for the right timing and for God to help make it happen. Easter is about the the crusifixion of Jesus and His rising from the dead. Jesus is called the 'Lamb of God', and the 'Lamb that was slain'. In photographing with a baby lamb, it was more then just a cute spring animal, it signified what the Lord did for us. This is truely an amazing gift of life.

Roley and the Lamb

I finally got a picture of our precious little Roley and Lucy. If it wasn't for Roley, these pictures wouldn't happen. Lucy listens to Roley, and Roley makes her mind. It's the cutest thing.... the lamb will baaa her head off if she can't see Roley. If you don't know anything about lambs, they are herd animals. They get lonely without companionship. So she has taken to Roley as her companion.

Meet Lucy!

Lucy is our baby lamb. She is 8 weeks old. We got her on Monday night and she will be in our Easter pictures this year. It was so sad when they took her away from her momma because she cried for her baby. We have been babying Lucy so she will want to be around us. She is super gentle. She has the prettiest face. You can start booking your Easter sessions now. I am also going to be Lone Star baby in Frisco on the 1st, and at Encore Centre for Dance on the 8th. Call me at 214-407-2359 to schedule your session for one of those days, or you can come by studio.
